An exquisite Erasmia pulchera chinensis moth in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The latin and region names are printed underneath the specimen.
This day-flying moth from Asia has wings of electric blue, orange and neon green, making it one of the most sought-after specimens amongst collectors from the Zygaenidae family of moths. It doesn't have a British common name but the Japanese call it Satsumanishiki
Its wingspan reaches 6-8 centimetres (2.6-3.4 in).
