Ulysses is the Roman name for greek hero, a character in ancient Greek mythology. The upper side of the wings are iridescent electric blue, the underside is a darker black and brown mixture. The colours are produced by the microscopic structure of the scales, a phenomenon called structural colouration.
Its wingspan reaches 12-14 cm centimetres ( 5 - 5.5inches )
