Yellow house bats live in various habitats around the world ranging from woodland, forests and mountains. However, they are known to co-exist with humans in built-up areas. They roost in dark caves, hollow trees. The name derives from their ability to live near humans. They can grow to around 13cm, with a wingspan of up to 10 inches.
