A beautiful Scarlet Mormon butterfly in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
The Scarlet Mormon belongs to the Papilio family of butterflies. The butterfly is also known as the Red Mormon. The species was named by Johann Friedrich von Eschscholtz after Nicholas Rumanzow, Chancellor of the Russian Empire
Its wingspan reaches 12 - 14 centimetres (4.7 - 5.5 in).
