An amazing Oak Hawk Moth in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The Latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
Marumba quercus, the Oak Hawk Moth, is a moth of the family Sphingidae. The species was first described by Michael Denis and Ignaz Schiffermüller in 1775.
The wingspan is 85 to 125 mm
