A stunning cut Ammonite fossil in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality backing board. Common and Latin names are printed underneath.
This has been cut and polished to show the internal structure and preserved limestone and calcite. Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusc that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Starting as very small sea creatures as they evolved and grew, so did the shell making these magnificent fossils.
Please be aware you will receive either the left or right side slice, and the specimen you receive may slightly vary in pattern / colour.
