A huge Atlas moth in a handmade wooden frame mounted on high-quality acid-free conservation board. The latin and common names are printed underneath the specimen.
The Atlas moth is a large saturniid moth found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia and is common across the Malay archipelago. Atlas moths were often considered the largest moths in the world in terms of total wing surface area
Its wingspan can reach over 25 centimetres (9.8 in).
